CB SherlockMinneapolis, Minnesota, USAThe Vowels: a Congregation of PreachersThai Mulberry paper and Library board 3 x 3 x 15 $ 125© 2013 edition size: 50 Letterpress printed with wood type and polymer plates, then folded and stitched into cubes. This poem by Ann Filemyr caught CB’s attention when performed a couple of years ago. Its humor and slightly political leaning makes it unforgettable, perfect to respond to in an artist book. CB Sherlock made her first book in third grade and made artist books throughout her life. She focuses on small edition and one of a kind artist books. As an Artist Coop member at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts, she is able to flourish as an artist, teaching letterpress and non-traditional bindings. She founded both Accordion Press Collaborations with Regula Russelle and Seymour Press. Her award winning books can be found in exhibitions and collections both nationally and internationally. |
